Frequently asked
Does my child have to be in the photos?
No. The book can be about a trip or memory that you, a grandparent, an aunt or an uncle experienced yourselves. That way you can read that story to a child later, your own child, a child on the way, or a niece or nephew.
How many photos do I need?
One clear photo is enough. For a longer trip, say nine weeks across Asia, pick the highlights, up to 40 photos, and we turn them into one story.
Can I make the book while we’re still on holiday?
Yes, it works right on your phone and the preview is ready in a few minutes. The printed book is delivered to your home afterwards, a lovely thing to find on the doormat when you get back.
Do busy holiday photos work?
Yes. We redraw the scene as an illustration, so a crowded beach or a packed terrace naturally becomes a calm, beautiful book page.
Can I tell you what happened on the trip?
Please do. You can briefly describe what was going on in the photos, the flip-flop that floated away, the thunderstorm at the campsite, and that makes the story much more personal.
How is this different from a holiday photo book?
In a holiday photo book you see the photos themselves, with a caption underneath. With us, the photos are redrawn as illustrations and the trip becomes one continuous children’s story, a book to read aloud, not to flick through. And it’s not a fill-in journal: you don’t have to write anything yourself.
Can I make a holiday book with my own text?
Yes. We write the story around your trip first, and in the free preview you edit the text page by page, the name of the campsite, that one phrase you all kept saying. You only order once it’s right.
