a personal book as a christening gift
a christening isn’t a newborn visit: the first rush is over, the date was set well in advance, and the child at the centre of it all may already sit or walk. the classics — a silver keepsake, a savings account, a children’s bible — are lovely, but there’s room for something the child will one day hold themselves. a book with the christening child in the leading role, written and illustrated from your own photos, is exactly that. especially lovely from a godparent: this is your first big moment together.
building it is free — you only pay when you order.

frequently asked
I’m the godparent — how do I get photos?
ask the parents for a few photos, three is already enough. or make the book after the christening, from the photos of the day itself — the gown, the family, the cake. you choose the delivery address at checkout; that can be the child’s home directly.
the child is still a baby — do they get anything out of it yet?
the book grows with them. right now it’s a keepsake of the christening day, in a few years it’s the bedtime story about the day the whole family came together for them. choose the toddler age setting and we keep the text short and soft. and if the christening happens when the child is one or two — which is common — they simply play themselves, at the age they are now.
is it a christian book?
no, and we say that honestly. the story is about the child, not the church. use photos of the christening day and it naturally becomes a story about that day and everyone who was there. if you’re after something explicitly religious, a children’s bible is a better choice — this book sits nicely beside it.
what’s the difference with your new baby gift book?
the new baby book is about the birth and the very first days. a christening comes later — sometimes weeks, sometimes more than a year — and is about the day itself and the people around the child: godparents, family. for a newborn gift, look at the new baby book; for a christening, you’re in the right place.
