a mother’s day gift from the child: a book about mum
mother’s day is the day of the homemade gift: the drawing, the handprint, breakfast in bed. this book belongs on that list, but it lasts for years — a story where mum and the child play the lead together, written and illustrated from your own photos. dad helps make it, the child picks the photos, and on mother’s day there’s a book that couldn’t be about anyone else. also lovely the other way round: a book for grandma, because mums have mothers too.
building it is free — you only pay when you order.

frequently asked
how do we make this without mum noticing?
dad and the child make it together: pick a moment when mum is out, choose photos together — three is enough — and let the child tell you what should be in the story. watch the preview together on the sofa as a dress rehearsal. the book is delivered to your door afterwards, so keep an eye on the post.
which photos work best?
photos of mum and the child together: reading, on the back of the bike, cooking, being silly on the sofa. sharp photos where the faces are clearly visible work best. if mum is in hardly any photos — she’s usually the one taking them — this is the moment to go through dad’s phone and the family group chat.
when is mother’s day, and when should I order?
in the netherlands and most countries, mother’s day falls on the second sunday of may; in the uk and ireland, mothering sunday falls in march or early april. the preview is ready in a few minutes, but printing and delivery take time — you see the current delivery time at checkout. so make the book a few weeks ahead, not the weekend before.
can this book be for grandma too?
yes, absolutely. mother’s day is for grandmas too, and a book where she goes on an adventure with her grandchild might be the sweetest thing she can get. use photos of sleepovers or days out together, and feel free to have it delivered straight to her — you choose the address at checkout.
